George McLaughlin:

Once I got involved in law school, there were so many options. You can be an estate lawyer, you could do domestic relations, you can do criminal law; you can be a teacher, you can be a professor, you can go into business. There were all these different options, but I very quickly got enamored with trial work.

I like product liability work because I'm a gadget and fix-it kind of guy. Doing products work, you have to understand how things work and why they work or why they failed, what can make them safer.

I’ve been practicing law for over 20 years, doing product liability work, civil litigation, but at the national level; I could live anywhere. So I loaded a truck up with about 200 file boxes and drove out here to Denver, Colorado and set up shop with the guys that I had clerked for when I was in law school.

I have a case pending right now in Seattle. I have a couple of cases I'm about to file on the East Coast. I had a case recently filed here in Colorado, which is always fun to have one in my own state, but I go all over the country. Also, doing some co-counsel for a case in Chicago. I travel the country doing product liability cases.
