How to Calculate The Value of a Personal Injury Lawsuit

Rob Rosenthal:

How do you know how much your personal injury case is worth? We asked Wyoming attorney Grant Lawson in this AskTheLawyers™ Quick Question.

Grant Lawson:

Well, it's a case-by-case scenario, and it completely depends on a lot of those factors; where are you? What has happened? What are your medical expenses? What sort of wage loss have you incurred? What kind of injuries have you incurred? How has it affected your life? How has it impacted you? Are you suffering from pain, and what kind and how often? What about a potential brain injury? Has it disrupted your cognitive function? There's just so many reasons why you need to contact an injury lawyer to figure out, “Hey, this is all part of what I've suffered. How do I figure out what it's worth? How do I figure out how to go to an insurance company and fight them to make sure that they're paying the fair amount of money that I'm owed?”
