Injury Lawyer Explains What to Do About Hernia Mesh Failure Symptoms

Video Transcript:

Rob Rosenthal:
What should you do if you're having a problem with your hernia mesh device? We ask Hawaiʻi attorney Wayne Parsons for this AskTheLawyers Quick Question.

Wayne Parsons:
Well the first thing to do, if you've had a hernia surgery and you have some of these symptoms, something's not feeling right, contact a lawyer. You can contact my office. We evaluate it, look at your medical records. We're gonna recommend that you go to your doctor, follow your doctor's advice and try to have the doctor deal with the medical side of it. If the doctor recommends removing the hernia mesh, that's one of the important things to do. Remove the hernia mesh and have the doctor holds on to the hernia mesh. You need to hold on to that herna mesh because that would be evidence if it turns out the hernia mesh caused you problems.
