Louisville, Kentucky Truck Accident Attorney Reviews Settlement Offers

Video Transcript:

Rob Rosenthal:

If you're hurt in an 18-wheeler crash and the company offers you a settlement, what should you do? That's what we ask Kentucky attorney Tad Thomas in this AskTheLawyers.com Quick Question.

Tad Thomas:

I always recommend that you talk to a lawyer before you accept any settlement. In my office, if you call us and said, Hey, they've made this offer to me, Should I take it or not? I'm gonna ask you certain questions, and if I think it's a fair offer which it seldom ever is, I'm gonna ask you certain questions and I may tell you, Oh, this is fair for your case, but here's the things that you need to look out for, because when you sign a release and you're releasing all claims you may have... And you may not know what all your injuries are yet, so you always wanna talk to a lawyer even if they've offered you money, because there's certain things, certain questions that you need to ask before you sign on the dotted line.
